This Welcoming Wednesday, we’re celebrating the launch of the Multicultural Women Content Creators Program run by Wyndham Arts and Events

Welcoming Australia is proud to be supporting recipients of the Australian’s Government’s Multicultural Grassroots Initiative grant program, giving us the opportunity to work with incredible community organisations like Wyndham Arts and Events.

The heart behind the Multicultural Women Content Creators Program and president and founder of Wyndham Arts & Events Inc, Syeda Bahadur shared that:

“Multicultural women have so many strong stories to tell and possess so much creative talent, but they lack a platform and the avenues to get the skills to produce their content. Through the MWCP, they will not only get the platform and build confidence, but support each other along the way. So many inter-cultural friendships will be born through this.”

With financial support from the Multicultural Grassroots Initiative Program and Welcoming Cities member council Wyndham City Council, the six-month program will support 45 multicultural women from more than 18 cultural backgrounds to build practical content-creation skills, confidence, leadership and community visibility.

We can’t wait to follow the progress of this initial cohort of the MWCP – and given that Syeda received over 180 expressions of interest for the first program, we have no doubt there will be more to come!
